Work Required
The open pan-European think tank designed to promote new thinking on the key challenges
facing the countries of the European Union was launched in the summer of 2002 and has rapidly emerged as an important meeting
point and intellectual crossroads for the centre-right in European politics.
Our work for the EIN started in 2004 when we designed and produced a large-size stage backdrop for a two-day event, the
‘European Ideas Fair’, held in Berlin. On site we supervised the set up and gave a helping hand to the EIN organisation team
when needed. After the EIN’s organisers achieved a large and positive response to their successful event, the EIN maintained the
idea of having a meaningful and extensive backdrop on their ‘Summer-University’ stages and requested our design, production
and construction services for the following years. We were also entrusted with the design and production of the conference
stationery, name badges, invitations and folders.
Our Implementation
For the EIN’s main annual event, the ‘EIN Summer-University’, that we supported design-wise
in European venues like Berlin, Lisbon, Lyon, Warsaw and Fiuggi, in Italy we were commissioned with the creation, production and
setup control of large-scale, free-standing stage backdrops and partly with further stage design services, illumination etc. We
took care of designing, producing and labelling name badges and furthermore designed and produced roll-up and pop-up displays.
At some EIN events our photographer documented the running of the sessions and working group meetings, taking pictures
of the participants and speakers and arranged nice souvenir group pictures for the client. Subsequent to the events we were put
in charge of designing some of the covers for the EIN evaluation summary reports in many European languages.
